What Do You Upgrade?
It is my hope that people develop different playstyles so that there isn't any one 'right' way to play. Hopefully the diversity of upgrades and units will help facilitate this goal.
So, how do you like to play the game? Specifically, what upgrades do you tend to go for?
For me, I almost always upgrade the same things in the same order. Almost every unit has one ability that is very effective and/or fun to use, and I tend to upgrade that ability along with speed first.
For example, if I'm playing the Zealot, here's how I'd go about his upgrades:
Speed
Charge
Speed
Charge
Speed
Power
Power
Health
Power
Health
Extra Lives (as many as I can afford before the final round)
Leftover: starting dodgeball
I tend not to spend any points into starting dodgeball or respawn dodgeball unless I have a bunch of minerals left over.

Re: What Do You Upgrade?
Max power
Max (probably) defensive skill
Max ball spawn
Max speed
Max life/HP
Max everything else
I throw in a bit of "start with ball" upgrade if I get left over money during the first break.

Re: What Do You Upgrade?
It really depends on the unit.
For Tank, I do the following:
3 mins for starting dodgeball (great with 'e')
Speed
Power
With Reaper, you're moving so fast you shouldn't really get hit...and if you do, you have that nifty shield.
-Speed
-Power
-Offensive Ability
From there it really depends on your opponents IMO.

I agree that it very much depends on the unit, at first i try to push his weakest property. for example when i play the muta, i first go for health and power after round 1. it also depends on how much money i have, i try to get at least 1 upgrade for his scourge ability, but i prefer to upgrade health power speed instead. when i have money left over, i go for respawn dodgeball and then starting DB
